That’s why last week, two of our team members – Hannah and Carys – joined CATH (Chester Aid to the Homeless) at one of their weekly ‘Summer of Women’ sessions. The ‘Summer of Women’ event began running weekly, earlier this month, aiming to offer support and a safe and positive environment to women in Chester.
Facilitated by CATH support worker Jeanette, Hannah and Carys, along with volunteers Alison and Izzy, joined the women during a pamper session, which included giving manicures and pedicures to the women. Not only does this wonderful event act as a positive and therapeutic engagement session for the women, it offers an environment where they can just be themselves amongst other women.
CATH was founded by a team of volunteers in 1972 to provide help and support to Chester’s homeless community. It has developed over four decades to become a leading homeless charity in the city of Chester providing a wide range of services.
